Robert Caruso is
a Managing Director and the Chief Operating Officer of Highbridge
Capital Management. Mr. Caruso shares the oversight of the day-to-day
management of all non-investment activities with the firm's Chief
Administrative Officer. Mr. Caruso is also the chairman of the firm's
Operating Committee. Mr. Caruso is also a member of the firm's
Executive Committee, which has responsibility for the overall
management, strategy, business development, risk management and
financial and regulatory operations of Highbridge.
Prior to
Highbridge Capital Management, Mr. Caruso was a Managing Director,
Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Robertson Stephens, a San
Francisco based global investment bank. At Robertson Stephens, Mr.
Caruso was responsible for the financial, accounting, treasury,
corporate strategy and risk management departments. Mr. Caruso began
his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers in New York. At PwC, as part of
their Global Capital Markets Advisory Practice, Mr. Caruso provided
consulting services to various investment banking and trading
professionals on highly structured derivative transactions, valuation
of investment and trading portfolios and other financing/securitization structures. Mr. Caruso has extensive regulatory and
compliance experience and advised several domestic and international
banks on the establishment or acquisition of broker-dealers under
Section 20 of the Glass-Steagall Act to obtain underwriting and dealer
powers in high yield and equity securities.
