Jim Ashton has executive management responsibility for SunGard Trading and Risk Systems. As Group CEO, Mr. Ashton focuses on business strategy, leadership, and operational excellence to optimize client satisfaction, which in turn accelerates the Groups´ growth and profitability. He has oversight responsibility for several risk management and derivative solutions including Panorama, Adaptiv, Basel II Capital Manager, and BancWare. These solutions address market, credit, and interest rate risk, derivatives trading, and back office processing.

Mr. Ashton has held senior management positions within SunGard and at Premier Solutions Inc., a global technology company that was acquired by SunGard in 1997. Under his leadership, Premier´s client base grew to include some of the world´s most prestigious banks and financial institutions around the world. He began his career at EDS where he held various technical, sales, and managerial positions over a span of 10 years.
