Jonathan Ingersoll is the Adrian C. Israel Professor of International Trade and Finance at Yale University´s School of Management. Prior to coming to Yale he was on the faculty at the Graduate School of Business at the University of Chicago. He was a member of the Founding Committee of the Society for Financial Studies and served as an editor of their The Review of Financial Studies. He is currently an Associate Editor of The Review of Derivatives Research. Professor Ingersoll has specialized in the fields of valuation of options and derivative securities and is author of numerous articles in this area as well as the textbook Theory of Financial Decision Making. Prof. Ingersoll received his S.B. in Physics from M.I.T. in 1971 and his S.M. and Ph.D. from the Sloan School of Management, M.I.T., in 1973 and 1976.
